Mark your calendars for this special event at our first home varsity football game of the 2024 season vs. Marquette. More details will be coming as we get closer to kickoff. We are planning to have an amazing night!


Registration for fall sports and ESports is now open for the 2024-2025 school year. This is for fall sports only which are listed in the included photo.
Students will need a current physical on file in the nurse's office. Those may be emailed to mbeatty@eawr.org and cguthrie@eawr.org


SIHF is doing walk in school physicals every Wednesday throughout the summer. EAWR will also hold a sports physical event on Thursday, August 1. The time will likely be from 10 am until 2 pm but more details will be forthcoming.

Jasiah Brown has advanced to tomorrow's state finals in the triple jump!

Good luck to Jasiah Brown as he heads to Charleston today for the IHSA State Finals. He competes in the triple jump preliminaries tomorrow trying to advance to Saturday's finals.

Congratulations to EAWR’s Riverbend Growth Association Young Adults Committee Representatives on each winning a scholarship at today’s awards luncheon. Also a huge thank you to John Barnerd for being our students mentor. Kylen Johnson received a $1000 scholarship, Mia Plumb received a $750 scholarship, Mayonna Jaggie received a $500 scholarship and Isaac Thornton received a $500 scholarship.







Reminder that there will be a boys basketball player/parent meeting this Thursday at 6:30 in the College & Career Center in the Main Building. Incoming freshman as well as returning students are invited to attend.

We did a send off for Gina Truax yesterday as she headed off for EIU and the IHSA State Finals in track and field.



EAWR Bowling will be hosting open lanes this summer at our home lanes of Airport Bowl. Please see the flyer and email Coach Kinkel to get on the email list. She will be sending out specific dates and times to those who contact her as well as other pertinent information.

**The East Alton Recreation Department is looking for volunteers to help with a community event this Saturday, May 18th from 9:45 am until 2 pm. If interested in volunteering please sign up in the google doc shared by Mrs Robinson and meet at the East Alton Keasler Center (park behind the building) at 9:45 am on the 18th.
**The Oiler Express cafe is officially closed for the school year. Thank you for all the support this year. We will reopen on the first full Monday when school resumes. Also, English certificates will be available for those who earn them when we return from the Labor Day weekend.
