Today we celebrated Gerry Mattix Wand's and Carla Guthrie's retirement. Gerry has served the district for 35 years and Carla is finishing up her 15th year. We appreciate their dedication to our school and community all these years. Special thanks to Rustic Roots for the venue space and to Ty Together LLC for the amazing charcuterie cart.

Freshmen are required to have a school physical and proof of current immunizations turned into the nurse by October 15th. This past Saturday, October 11th, EAWR students and their families participated in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Madison County Out of the Darkness Walk.
This powerful event brought our community together to raise awareness, share hope, and connect with important mental health resources. We are proud of our students and families for showing support to those impacted by suicide and for helping to break the stigma surrounding mental health.

It was a great night for our annual EAWR Cross Country Invitational! Due to upgrades underway on our softball and soccer field, we used a 3200 format on the track. This turned out amazingly with some superb 2 mile times!
It was also Senior Night for our four seniors!
