Thank you to the 50 families that attended the Freshman Parent Outreach Meetings over the past 3 weeks. It was great talking with everyone at our small group meeting. I'm excited for the school year and for the Class of 2027. I know they're going to Do Great Things!!

Registration for the 2023-2024 school year is now open and must be completed online.
If any student in early band or early bird PE needs transportation to early bird during the school year please contact Mr. Mike Moxey at 254-3151 ext 2561 and leave a message.
Students will be required to park in the Memorial Gym Lot and North Lot at no charge. Parking spots will be selected on Tuesday, August 15th in the Main Office. The times are as follows:
Seniors - 7:30 am-9:30 am
Juniors – 9:30 am-10:30 am
Sophomores – 10:30 am-11 am (only currently licensed driver’s)
If you are not able to come during those times, you may stop by the Main Office any time after your scheduled time.
Freshmen Orientation is Tuesday, August 15th from 8-10:30 am. Freshmen need to report to door M1 (front of the Main Building). Doors for freshmen orientation will not open until 7:30 am and all freshmen need to arrive by 8:00 am. Freshmen orientation is for first time freshmen students only. Bus routes can be found on the school webpage www.eawr.net.
All freshmen and their families are invited to Trucking Into High School, August 15th--6 pm-8 pm (open house format). Please RSVP to Carla Guthrie at (618) 254-3151 ext 2501 or email Leigh Robinson at lrobinson@eawr.org with the number of family members attending. Each family member attending will receive a ticket for a free sandwich and side from one of the food trucks.
The first day for all students is on Wednesday, August 16th. Doors will not open until 7:30 am unless in early bird band or PE and all students must enter through door M1 or E2. Students in early bird band and early bird PE will enter through door E2 and doors will open at 7:00 am. There will be early bird class on Wednesday morning. There will be a 2 pm dismissal from August 16th-August 25th. Bus times can be found on the school webpage.

--Seniors that are in National Honor Society--there is a meeting Monday, August 14th at 1 pm in the CCC. If there are questions please email Mrs Robinson.

Today is the last business day before the first fall practice to register for your fall sport. Any student wanting to practice on Monday must complete this process with their parent. Step by step screenshots are included with this post to assist you. Physicals may also be uploaded now which is helpful since school is not open on Friday's during the summer. Please do this today if not yet registered. Waiting until the weekend may result in athletes not being allowed to practice on Monday as the athletic department must have time to check all registrations for compliance. Fall sports senior banner photos will be taken on Mon, Aug. 7 and Tue, Aug. 8 between the hours of 1:00-3:00 pm. Senior students may walk in for their photo. Please contact your coach to get a uniform for your photo. Students will enter the middle doors of the east building between the buildings. Do not come to the bus circle doors due to construction on the new office. Contact Diane Cox to arrange a different photo time if unable to attend these two sessions next week.

One month from today is our First Responders Game! The Oilers will host the Civic Memorial Eagles at Memorial Stadium in varsity football. All first responders and their families receive free admission and will be recognized before the game on the field. Let's fill the stadium with love and appreciation for our first responders and all they do to keep our communities safe!
