Today 64 sophomore students visited the St. Louis Holocaust Museum. A huge thank you to the drivers who not only got everyone there and back safely, but who also toured the museum with us as extra chaperones. It was an impactful day of learning for all of us.

Congratulations to Gina Truax who once again sets the school record in the 300 meter hurdles. She won the entire Sectional in the 300 hurdles and is on her way to State next week! We will do a send off for her on Tuesday at 2:20 pm in the courtyard. Varsity Softball had an amazing comeback win yesterday. They fell behind by 7 runs early and roared back to win in a walk off fashion on a single by Averi Gilliam in the 7th inning! Way to battle back team! We have nothing scheduled this weekend and the regular season is now complete in all sports. IHSA Regionals are next week for baseball and softball. The IHSA Boys Track Sectional is right here at EAWR next Thursday as well. I am in need of gate workers to work from 1:30-3:30.

We had a huge 16 school track meet here yesterday and Wesclin won the Illinois Division while Dupo won the Kaskaskia Division. The Mississippi Division comes down to pole vault later today at Central with Columbia and Freeburg battling it out for the title. Thanks to our maintenance staff for all their help yesterday, the girls track team, and anyone else who may have helped in any capacity. Girls soccer came to an end last night in the regional. I want to thank Coach Daniels for his efforts this season and the girls who participated. You all represented EAWR with good sportsmanship and integrity on the field. We have graduation tonight so there are no contests on the schedule. Congratulations again to our graduates!
