Year long athletic passes are on sale and the pass will allow the holder to get in all home athletic events for the 2024-2025 school year minus IHSA postseason events. Passes are $30 for adults and $20 for non-EAWR children under 18. EAWR students can purchase a $5 home athletic pass for fall in the Attendance Center. The year long passes can be purchased at the first home volleyball game, the first home football game, or from the Attendance Center.

**Big Sisters - Our first meeting for existing members (Seniors) is next Tuesday August 19th at 2pm in room M205 right after school. Please attend! If you cannot make it please see Mrs. Parmentier. Also mark your calendars - Induction of new members and Top 5 intro will be Wednesday September 24th at 7pm in the courtyard.

**There will be a meeting at 2:30 on Wednesday, August 27th in the College and Career Center for seniors interested in running for Harvest Queen.  Candidates must be a senior and have a 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher to be eligible to run.  The meeting is mandatory, however, if you are in work-study or have another conflict please, contact Mrs. Robinson prior to the meeting.

**Wednesday the 20th we will have the first senior/freshman mentor meetings.  All freshmen will be on a list shared by Mrs Robinson (if not on the list contact Mrs Robinson ASAP). Freshmen will report to the assigned room at 10:35 am on Wednesday.  Senior mentors need to leave class at 10:30 to go to the assigned room.  All other students are not to leave their assigned 3rd hour class.  The schedule for Wednesday can be found in the schedules folder.

📣 Exciting news! The first week of practices is Monday! Make sure to register your student for their sport on Snap Manage and have a current physical on file at EAWR. 🏃‍♂️ Go to EAWR.net and click "Athletic Registration" to register your student for sports.

1st Week Information

Registration for the 2025-2026 must be completed online

If any student in early band or early bird PE needs transportation to early bird during the school year please contact the Main Office at 254-3151 ext 2501.

Students are required to park in the Gym Lot at no charge. Parking spots will be selected on Monday, Aug 11th in the Main Office. The times are as follows:        

Seniors-1:00 pm-1:45 pm and Juniors–2:00 pm-2:45 pm. Be sure to know the make/model/license plate number of your vehicle. If you can't come during your time, you may stop by the Main Office after your scheduled time.

Freshmen Orientation is Tuesday, August 12th  from 8-10:30 am.  Freshmen need to report to door E2 (bus circle).  Doors for freshmen orientation will not open until 7:30 am and all freshmen need to arrive by 8:00 am.  Freshmen orientation is for first time freshmen students only.  Bus routes can be found on the school webpage www.eawr.net.

All freshmen and their families are invited to Trucking Into High School, August 12th--6 pm-8 pm (open house format). Please RSVP to the Main Office at  (618) 254-3151 ext 2501 or email Leigh Robinson at lrobinson@eawr.org with the number of family members attending.  Each family member attending will receive a ticket for a free sandwich and side from one of the food trucks.

Senior sunrise is on Wednesday the 13th at 6 am at the track. This event is only for seniors and should end around 6:30 am. 

The first day for all students is on Wednesday, August 13th. Doors will not open until 7:30 am unless in early bird band or PE and all students must enter through door E2.  Door E2 will open for early bird students at 7 am and there is early bird on Wed morning. All students must go through the EVOLV system when entering the building. There will be a 2 pm dismissal from August 13th-August 22nd.  Bus times can be found on the school webpage.

The Oilers are in need of four individuals to work the chains on the sidelines for home varsity football games this season. Each person will receive an Oiler chain gang shirt, free admission to all home games in any sport all year, and the best possible view of varsity football action.
