**This month is Freshman February! Freshmen who have no tardies and no absences will receive a $5 gift certificate to the Oiler Express Cafe to use in March.
**The King's Dance will be held on February 25th from 7-10pm here in the courtyard. Tickets for the dance will be on sale the week before the dance from Mrs. Timmins and Mr. Daniels, during academic lab and after school. Tickets are $10 each. There will be NO tickets sold at the door. Guest forms for the dance are available outside of Mrs. Timmins's room. Guest forms are due back by February 18th.
**Student Council is selling Hersey kiss roses for Valentine's Day. Roses are being sold in Mrs. Timmins's room during academic lab and after school and during A and B lunch this week. Roses are $1 each or 6 for $5 and will be delivered, with a personal message, on Valentine's Day.
**Attention students who are applying for National Honor Society: The applications are due by 2:30 pm tomorrow. No late applications will be accepted so please make sure you submit yours on time! Current NHS members who were inducted last year do NOT need to re-apply.
**Big Sisters- We have a meeting tomorrow during academic lab in room E121. Be there!

These four students received a positive referral for being caught doing great things here at EAWR. Each student was called to the office to be informed the reason for their referral. They also received a gift certificate to the Oiler Express Cafe. Nice work Oilers!

Senior night for band and boys basketball. The game between the Oilers and Shells is set to go live on WBGZ in a few minutes!
Great job by the varsity cheer squad at IHSA State.
The JV cheer squad left bright and early at 5:30 AM this morning with Mrs. Robinson to come up to support the varsity cheerleaders at IHSA State.
A big weekend in Oiler Athletics ahead! Oiler Cheer starts things off with their performance at the State Finals in Bloomington at 9:10 am. This will be live on the NFHS Network. Tomorrow, the postseason begins for girls bowling and the wrestling team. Good luck to everyone!

**Seniors: Mrs. Robinson and Mr. Beatty are looking for volunteers to work basketball games tonight from 4:30-9:00 Please email Mrs Robinson if you can volunteer at any of these events.
**Attention all Drama Club members: There will be a Drama Club meeting today at 5pm. Attendance at this meeting is very important regarding new regulations going into effect. Please let Kaitlin or Kyndal know if you cannot attend.
**The Saturday Scholars program begins this Saturday, February 4th. Those who've signed up need to check their emails for further information.

The EAWR 2023 Academic Challenge team got 3rd in their division. Individual awards were:
Kennadi Suttles 3rd in Math
Mary Nguyen, Will Norman, Mia Plumb 3rd in Chemistry
Laura Crank 2nd in Biology
Quisqueya Puckett 3rd in Physics
The challenge was at Blackburn College in Carlinville. Thanks to Mrs Parmentier for bringing our students to the competition.
State send off for cheer!
Today's schedule. Please note that girls bowling at Bowl Haven is cancelled and they will practice at Airport Bowl after school. Our cheerleaders will travel to State today after school so we will send them off from the E. Building courtyard.

**Any girl interested in playing Girls Soccer this spring needs to come to the Girls Soccer meeting today during Academic Lab in Coach Daniels' room E208. It's very important that you attend. See Mr. Daniels for a pass to attend.
