Friday, April 5, 2024 **Seniors--Be sure to complete your Senior Spotlight. Simply enter your name and the name of the college/university/trade school/branch of the military that you will attend next school year. Mrs. Robinson will put out social media senior spotlight pictures following spring break until graduation. If there are questions, please email Mrs. Robinson. **Students–The East Alton Methodist Church (across from Eastwood School/East Alton Middle School) will be having a campus clean up from 9 am until noon this Saturday. If interested in volunteering please sign up in the document Mrs. Robinson shared with you. **Prom guest forms are now available from Mrs. Timmins and Mr. Marshall. Any non- EAWR students and also EAWR freshmen and sophomores are considered guests. Guest forms are due back on April 19th. Prom tickets will be on sale April 15th-19th and the cost is $30 per ticket. **After prom tickets will be on sale April 9th, 11th and 12th in the cafeteria during lunch hours. After prom is a parent sponsored event and will be held at Edison’s in Edwardsville on April 27th from 11:30pm-2:30am. After prom tickets are $15 each. **The Wood River Lorena Ave PTA is having a Spring Carnival on April 13th from 9:30 am-1 pm at the Lewis and Clark School. Volunteers will help with the different stations and also face painting. If you would like to volunteer please sign up in the document shared by Mrs Robinson by Thursday, April 11th. **SENIOR COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY: EAWR Track Invitational Tomorrow from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm ** Workers may help in concessions, down on the track at the clerk station, or by helping track officials with various needed tasks like moving hurdles. **Mrs. Robinson has shared the testing room assignments for next Wednesday, April 10th. There will be no early bird that day and students need to be in their testing room by 8 am. Freshmen and sophomores will be dismissed at 11:10 am and juniors will be dismissed at 12:10 pm on Wednesday the 10th. If a student has a different dismissal time, Mrs. Zipprich will contact the student and parent. Be sure to bring your fully charged Chromebook to testing and also bring a calculator, but the Chromebook has one you can use for testing. Again this is a required state test and all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors need to be at school by 8 am on the 10th with a fully charged Chromebook. Students may not have phones, earbuds/headphones, or smart watches in the testing room so leave these items at home or they will be collected. Also students may not have other items/materials out during testing including food and drink. Seniors are not required to attend on April 10th and are encouraged to use the day for a college visit or to complete community service. **Next Monday, April 8th, will be a half day with an 11:25 dismissal. **Seniors: We have 33 days till graduation!
