Thursday, November 10, 2022 **Juniors and Seniors--Cardinal calendar orders and money are due by November 15th. Please turn in to the attendance center. **Toys for Tots is looking for volunteers this Saturday from 10 am-2 pm at the Wood River VFW. If interested, please just show up. These hours do count as community service hours. **The Great River Road Run is Saturday, November 26th and volunteers are needed. If you would like to volunteer, please meet at the Alton Visitor’s Center by 8am or earlier. Students can check in with Mr. Colona upon arrival. Volunteers will get a free T shirt and donuts. The race will be over at noon. If there are questions, please contact Mr. Colona or Mrs. Robinson. **EAWR is hosting a College and Career Night tonight from 4-7 pm for all EAWR students and parents and other local high school students and parents in the East Building Courtyard. We are scheduled to have close to 50 representatives from colleges, universities, branches of the military, business and unions. All local high school students and parents are invited to attend. **There will be a short informational meeting for track right after school today. We will meet at the big gym. **Big Sisters: Our next meeting will be after school next Tuesday, November 15th at 2:36pm in Mrs. Parmentier's room M205. We will discuss the Walk-a-thon and the Oasis donation coming up. Any questions, see Mrs. Miller or Mrs. Parmentier. **Don't forget to reserve your yearbook! You can order it now for $50 before the price goes up to $60 beginning January 1--just bring $50 (cash or check payable to EAWR) to the Art Room, M-009. **Attention Seniors--if you are submitting a Senior Photo or a Senior Baby Photo for the yearbook, those pictures are due to Mr. James no later than January 6. Please email any digital photos to him, or deliver hard copies to the Art Room, M-009.

Today's schedule: Girls bowling begins next Tuesday. Interested students must register on 8to18 for girls bowling and have a good physical on file in the nurse's office. Photos for yard signs and winter sports senior banners will take place again today at 2:30. Today, they will be down at the mural wall because of the College & Career Fair that will be set up in the courtyard. Yard signs are $35 and you must pay at the time of your photo. Winter Sports senior banners are paid for by a donation from the US Army and all senior winter athletes should come get their picture taken.

Great job by Mrs Kinkel and Mrs Sharpmack on organizing today’s community event. Hundreds and hundreds of people from our community and surrounding communities attended. A huge thanks to Mrs Guthrie, Mrs. Timmins and the student volunteers for helping today. Also thank you to all the faculty, staff, and students that helped with setting up the event.

Friday, November 4, 2022 **The cafe and clothing room will be closed all day today. Please do not send students. **There is a community service opportunity today starting at 2:30 until we finish setting up for the Oiler Community day, and tomorrow from 7:30-12:30 working the Community Day. There are details on the EAWR community service google classroom. Seniors still in need of hours, the deadline to be exempt from finals will be extended through this Saturday to allow you to earn hours. **Juniors and Seniors--Cardinal calendar orders and money are due by November 15th. **Anyone interested in participating in Scholar Bowl for the upcoming season should come to a brief meeting after school next Wednesday, November 9th in Mrs. Miller's room (E224). If you aren't able to make it to the meeting, please come see Mrs. Miller before Wednesday, November 9th or send her an email.
