  • Jake Erslon Signs With Lindenwood-Belleville Jake Erslon signed his Letter of Intent Intent on Monday with Lindenwood University-Belleville, to continue his Wrestling career with the Lynx.  He was introduced by Mr. Gockel, who recognized those on the dais. Jake gave some prepared remarks, thanking his parents, students, and coaches for his success in high school wrestling. Coach Tim Donohoo noted his superb accomplishments in his wrestling career at EAWR, reminding those in attendance of his 4th Place finish in the IHSA State Wrestling Final. Lastly, the Asst. Wrestling Coach from Lindenwood publicly welcomed Jake into the Lynx program and talked about how lucky they were to have him. Some candid photos from the signing ... Good Luck, Jake! .

  • Spring 2019 Team Schedules Now Available! The team schedules in an easy to read 1-2 page sheet are now uploaded in the Athletic Team Schedules folder under the "Documents" tab (Scroll down the Documents page to find the Athletic Team Schedules folder). Girls Soccer, Softball, Track, and Baseball are all included. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT MANY SPRING DATES AND TIMES MAY BE CHANGED DUE TO WEATHER.   • Oilers Host 2019 Girls Regional - 3A - Finals Moved to Thursday Night! We are proud to be a Regional Basketball host again! The Oilers play Jerseyville on Wed., Feb. 13th at 7:30, following the Sacred Heart-Griffin vs. Jacksonville game, slated to begin at 6:00 p.m. Doors open at 5:15 on Wednesday.Winners of the Wednesday night semis will meet in the Regional Championship on Thursday, Feb. 14th, at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 5:30. This is a switch from the original schedule, due to the forecasted snow storm that is supposed to begin late Friday afternoon.

  • Illinois State Scholars Announced Congratulations to our our eight members of the Class of 2019, who were recently named Illinois State Scholars. Students are selected by the the Illinois Student Assistance Commission, which is state agency responsible for ensuring that financial considerations did not prevent Illinois students from realizing their postsecondary educational goals.   • Oiler Express Cafe - Watch Out Starbucks! The Oiler Express Cafe is in business! Students from the Life Skills and Work Study classes sell tea, Ronnocco coffee, iced tea, Otis Spunkmeyer cookies, and cappuccino from the ground floor of the Main Building to other students and staff members. Earlier this school year, Mrs. Neely Kinkel - teacher and organizer of the venture - won an award of $2,000 from Vantage Credit Union, which was spurred by a wonderful video featuring students and Mrs. Kinkel and Mr. Daniels (The link takes you to the YouTube site). The venture has also received other donations from outside the school district, plus renovation and maintenance assistance from Mr. Foxall and the custodians, Below are a couple of candids is a panoramic candid ...

  • Principal Appreciation Day - Oct. 26 Right before school started this morning, the staff and students honored our wonderful administrators, Principal Leigh Robinson and Asst. Principal Kevin Gockel with a morning reception in the Courtyard. Hundreds of students and staff members had the opportunity to wish both well on this Principal Appreciation Day.Principal Appreciation Day is a national and state wide recognition of all school principals and assistant principals for the tough jobs they do in leading their schools. Each received a couple of tokens of the District's appreciation as well as great caricatures drawn by Art Teacher, Mr. Charlie James.
