Alumni Mailing

If you received a mailing that announces the cash raffle, we can also tell you that tickets may also be purchased at The Bank of Edwardsville - Wood River office; 1st Cloverleaf Bank - Wood River branch; and Shell Credit Union - Wood River Branch, through March 6th, which is the date of the drawing. Of course, you can pick them up at the high school and buy at our remaining home basketball games.

HOWEVER WE WERE JUST INFORMED BY PAYPAL (SINCE THE MAILING WENT OUT) THAT WE MAY NOT SELL ANY MORE CASH RAFFLE TICKETS VIA THEIR LINK.

The good news is that you can still give a regular donation to the EAWR Foundation through PayPal - just not purchase raffle tickets. We're sorry for any inconvenience. Those of you who have already purchased these on-line are o.k. - your ticket purchases are recorded.

Remember, your $20 Cash Raffle buys a chance to win .... 1st Prize: $4,000; 2nd Prize: $2,000; Four 3rd Prizes of $500; Eight 4th Prizes of $250 (Prizes will be proportionally reduced if 1,000 tickets are not sold). Tickets will be sold until the time of the drawing, which will be at the basketball game on March 6, 2015.

Keeping that Oiler Spirit Alive!

EAWR High School has played a key part of the lives and memories of many thousands of its graduates, parents, and community members for over 90 years! As we have learned from all of the inducted Hall of Fame members and the other nominees, as well as our loyal alumni, thousands of our graduates have gone on to successful and productive lives and careers, with many giving back their time and effort, assisting the high school over these many years. With declining state resources and growing needs of our boys and girls - with many whose family income is below the poverty line - our beloved alma mater is facing bold challenges to provide resources to our students and teachers. This is the purpose of the EAWR Foundation. The Board of Education - in partnership with local citizens and community leaders - formed the Foundation to meet these bold challenges. No contribution is too small, and all are greatly appreciated. To make a contribution, you may click on the Donate Using PayPal link below, or complete the rear panel of the Foundation brochure. Thank you very much.
