**The deadline to apply for Student Council is tomorrow.  If you have any questions, please see or email Mr. Daniels or Mrs. Timmins.  

*$5 Fall athletic passes are on sale in the  Attendance Center. The pass will get an EAWR student into all fall home events for $5.  If you are playing a fall sport or in the band you can get into all other fall sports for free.

**Lifetouch Photographers will be here tomorrow for School Picture Day. Your PE teacher will escort you to the Auditorium during PE class. If you are not currently enrolled in PE, you will need to go to the Auditorium during Academic Lab. If you are buying a photo package from Lifetouch, please bring the form and Payment to the Photographer. If you do not plan to buy photos from Lifetouch, you still need to get your picture taken for school IDs and the Yearbook. Seniors, even if you plan on getting your Senior Yearbook Portrait taken by an outside photographer, you need the Lifetouch photo for IDs and for the Class of 2019 Senior Composite photo.

**The Village of East Alton is sponsoring their annual Soapbox Derby on Saturday, September 8th from 8 am-4 pm.  They are need volunteers to help with the derby and do the set up in the morning. If you would like to volunteer please stop by the Attendance Center to sign up.  Volunteers will meet at the Tropical Snow next to East Alton Shop N Save. Volunteers also need to wear an Oiler t-shirt to the event. Again the sign up to volunteer is in the Attendance Center.

**There will be a representative on campus from the following colleges. Interested junior and senior students should obtain a pass from their guidance counselor to attend:

McKendree University, September 6 at 1pm

SIU Carbondale, September 7 at 10:00am

**The Wood River Library is hosting a Volunteer Orientation on Saturday, Sept 15th from 10:30 am until noon. During this meeting the library will have attendees fill out their volunteer application, go over opportunities and the role of a volunteer.  If there are questions, please contact Holly Adams at holly@woodriverlibrary.org.  Hours will be given for attending the orientation.  If you can’t attend the orientation you may still volunteer at the library, but a volunteer application is required to be on file.

**Any girl interested in running for the 91st Coronation Queen needs to attend a mandatory meeting with Mrs.Beachum after school in the library this Friday, August 31st.  If you are unable to attend, please contact Mrs. Robinson.

**Students interested in joining the new Dungeons & Dragons Club should stop by the Art Room, M-009, after school this Friday to get their names on the club roster.
