Seniors – If you have received an award, scholarship or special recognition from a college, or you are enlisted in the Armed Forces after graduation…..please stop by the attendance center and give this information to Mrs. Floyd for the awards assembly.


Yearbook Distribution day will be next Friday,May 3rd, but there are only about 70 yearbooks still available! If you're planning to buy one, you should get your copy reserved as soon as possible. Yearbooks are $60 each, and you can buy them online by using Revtrak, or by bringing cash or a check payable to EAWR to Mr. James in the Art Room, M-009, during Academic Lab or before or after school.


The EAWR Peer Leadership group is sponsoring a Spirit Week to encourage drug abuse prevention!  Monday (the 29th) is Silenced Day. Some students have pledged to remain silent for the day as a reminder of the victims of drunk driving who no longer have a voice. Tuesday (the 30th) is Peace Out to Drugs Day - wear peace signs or tie-dye.  Wednesday (the 1st) is Give Drugs the Boot Day - wear your favorite country attire. Thursday (the 2nd) is Remember Your Dreams Day - wear your PJs to school. As always, no clothing with inappropriate length, messages or symbols will be allowed. Hats may be worn to fit the theme, but please remove them during class.


Please check your email or the rosters posted by the Main Office and Attendance Center for your name.  This will tell you what room to go to for the Career Day tomorrow. If you do not see your name on this list, contact Mrs. Robinson immediately.

Coming soon to Memorial Gym:  Oiler Olympics.  Next Friday, May 3 @ 9:30am. Hope to see you there!

There will be a mandatory meeting for all seniors during academic lab on Tuesday in the auditorium.  We will be going over end of the year activities and graduation information.

This is a reminder to Seniors who are planning on pursuing a career as a first responder or is the child of a first responder attending some type of post-high school education to pick up an application for the Jake Ringering Memorial Scholarship from the guidance office or Mrs. Zipprich’s room E111. The application plus any additional information is due on April 30th to Mrs. Zipprich.

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO BUY PROM RAFFLE TICKETS! Tickets may be purchased from Mrs. Timmins or Mr. Marshall during passing period or academic lab. The winner of the raffle will be announced at the end of the day today!

Seniors:  Just a reminder of the scholarships due this week to Mrs. Woodman in Guidance.  The EAWR Football Scholarship is due today.

You can purchase as many tickets as you want. The more you buy, the better your chance to win! See Mrs. Timmins for tickets.

Prom tickets are $25 and can be purchased after school outside of Mr. Marshall's room or during academic lab from Mrs. Timmins. Remember, there is no school Thursday or Friday so you only have today and tomorrow to get your ticket.

After Prom will be held this year at Altitudes Trampoline Park in Glen Carbon. Today is the last day to purchase your ticket during lunches for $25 per ticket.

Reminder that Cinderella will be performed tonight and tomorrow at 7pm and Sunday at 2pm.  

The Wood River Roundhouse is looking for volunteers tomorrow from 9:45-11:30 am to help with their annual Easter Egg Hunt.  They are also looking for one volunteer to be the Easter Bunny. If you would like to volunteer you can call the Roundhouse at 251-3130 or you can just show up at 9:45 am.

Today is the 8th Annual Fine Arts Festival. This is a free event and will be in the Memorial Gym at 7pm.

If you missed Cinderella last weekend it’s not too late!  You can also see it this Friday and Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 2pm.  

The Wood River Roundhouse is looking for volunteers this Saturday, April 13th from 9:45-11:30 am to help with their annual Easter Egg Hunt.  They are also looking for one volunteer to be the Easter Bunny. If you would like to volunteer you can call the Roundhouse at 251-3130 or you can just show up at 9:45 am.

Sales have now started to raise money for the 2019 Oiler Olympics. Please see Mrs. Roethe, Mrs. Boyd, Mrs. Miller, Mr. Maendele, or Mrs. Kinkel in the Cafe to purchase. Snacks include a variety of chips, cookies, and fruit snacks all for $1. Thank you for helping out a worthy cause.

Reminder to all freshmen, sophomores and juniors that testing is tomorrow, Tuesday the 9th and it is a state requirement that all students test.  Testing lists have been shared in google drive and all students need to report to their assigned room by 8 am. There will no early bird and students need to bring a calculator and number 2 pencil.  Students will be dismissed around 1 pm.

Seniors--if you want to participate in the community service activity please meet in the Memorial gym by 8:30 am Tuesday morning.  Be sure not to wear nice clothes because you will be working outside.
