**Lovejoy United Presbyterian Church at 2550 Rock Hill Road in Wood River is hosting a Fall Festival this Saturday from 2-5 pm and needs volunteers.  For more information please check your email for the flyer or call Brenda Donohoo at 444-9190.

**Mrs. Robinson and Mrs Woodman have set up a community service opportunity after the half day this Friday from 12-3pm at Beverly Farm in Godfrey.  If any student would like to sign up to volunteer please sign up in the google doc.  All students who volunteer are required to ride the school bus to and from the activity.  Also, school personnel will be there to help with the activity.

**Juniors and Seniors:  Don't forget the Regional College Fair at SIUE tomorrow from 6:00-7:30 p.m.  The event will be held in the Morris University Center.  Over 100 college representatives will be in attendance.  Don't miss this great opportunity to see many college reps!

**Students:  If you haven't visited the library lately, you are missing out on a wonderful new collection of books that have just hit the shelves.  Don't forget to post your books on the READING TREE for a chance to win a prize.  The next drawing will be in early December.  Good Luck to all who participate.

**The Village of Hartford is needing 4 volunteers to help from noon-2 at the Hartford Parade this Saturday.  Anyone who volunteers also needs to go to the meeting from 6-7pm this Thursday the 26th.  The hour for the meeting and the 2 hours for the parade will all count as community service hours.  If interested please email Mrs Robinson ASAP.

**The Wood River Roundhouse is looking for volunteers to help fill candy bags after school today.  If you can help please go directly to the Roundhouse after school today and your time does count towards community service hours.

**Citizens of Wood River are organizing a clean-up event this Saturday from 9-11 am.  If you would like to volunteer please sign up in the google doc that was shared by Mrs Robinson and meet at the Wood River Roundhouse at 8:45 am on the 21st.  All materials will be provided.

**Just a reminder there is no school tomorrow. There is a home football game tomorrow night.  The tailgate will start at 6 PM all students and staff are welcome. Also remember tomorrow night is senior night please come out and support your seniors.  The theme for the game is oil spill so wear all black!

**There will be a spirit club meeting today in room e-1:21 during academic lab.

**This Thursday, the East Alton Rec Department is having their Senior Citizens Halloween Dinner/Dance and they need volunteers. Students will help with serving meals and clean up. Volunteers need to arrive at 4:30 and will be done at 8:30. Dress attire is khakis/slacks and collared shirt (preferably white).  Please sign up in the Attendance Center by the end of this week if you are interested in volunteering.

**There will be a meeting for all girls basketball players tomorrow during academic lab in the Memorial Gym.  Players must get a pass from Coach Broadway or Coach Scott in order to attend the meeting.

**Big Sisters will be having a Bake Sale tomorrow at the volleyball games in the gym entrance from 5-8pm.   Each item will be 50 cents.  The money raised will go toward the Big Sisters Senior Scholarship.

**Tomorrow is picture re-take day.  If you didn't get your picture taken last month this will be your last chance.  If you are unhappy with your first pictures, bring them back on Friday and have them re-taken.  Order forms are available in the Main Office.  The photographer will be here from 7:45 to 11:30 a.m.

**All Big Sisters- Our next meeting will be this Friday during Academic Lab in the Lecture Hall.  We will be planning a bake sale and future events.  Please see Mrs. Miller or Mrs. Parmentier if you have any questions.

**There will be representatives from the following colleges on campus:

St. Louis College of Pharmacy, today

Senior students interested in meeting with any of these representatives need to see their Guidance Counselor.

**Juniors, sophomores and freshmen--STAR reading test will be administered today during 3rd hour and academic lab.  Students need to have their fully charged Chromebook with them for testing. Students may use scratch paper during the test.  Seniors will attend a presentation from guidance about the college process.  All seniors should report to the auditorium at 10:40 am.  There will be no meetings and students may not leave their 3rd hour except for seniors.

**EAWR is hosting a blood drive tomorrow during hours 1-5. We still have about 10 appointment times available, so see or email Mrs. Timmins to sign up. You must be 16 or older to donate.
