  • Jacob Martin Signs with Missouri Baptist! Senior Jacob Martin signed a letter of intent last Monday (April 30th) to play Men's Volleyball next year at Missouri Baptist University, in front of an assembly in the Auditorium, viewed by most of his classmates. Jake's parents were on hand to witness the signing. Congrats to Jake on this great accomplishment and good luck in your college career!

  • TJ Lawson Signs with Missouri Baptist University TJ Lawson signed a letter of intent to enroll at Missouri Baptist University. He will run track at Missouri Baptist. TJ is a multi-sport letter winner and has been a key member of the last two football playoff teams, as well as all conference in track and football. His best event is the 200M sprint and other sprint races.    Congrats to TJ and best wishes!

  • Cheer Squad Advances to IHSA State! Congrats to Coaches Allison Beachum and Allison Turner on the Varsity Oiler Cheerleaders advancing to the IHSA State Cheer Championships in Bloomington! They reach the finals by virtue of their 4th Place finish at the Waterloo Sectionals last weekend (Jan. 27, 2018). Here is a link to some other photos .... Way to go, Oilers!

  • Dave Tedford and his Giant Unicycle EAWR Alumnus Dave Tedford (Class of 1980) rose above his classmates in the most literal sense: Responding to a “senior project” requirement and with the help of former teachers Keith Atkinson and James Brann, Dave created a 14-foot tall unicycle! Not only was this an impressive display of machining and welding, Dave actually rode this unicycle and rode it regularly until his late-40’s. This unicycle was so impressive, that Dave was featured in a Telegraph article in 1980 with some photos showing him riding it in Eastgate Plaza.   • Senior Assembly 2018 On Wed., May 9, 2018, EAWR held its annual Senior Recognition Assembly, to present seniors with scholarship checks, academic awards, and other special recognition. The assembly was presented in front of the entire student body, staff, and guests in the Memorial Gym.   • Silver Medallion Awards - 2018 On Thursday, April 26, about 800 parents, relatives, and school officials joined together to honor the top 8% of all seniors in the Lewis & Clark CC district. This included seniors from 21 high schools. The event was held, as usual, at the George Terry Arena on the Lewis & Clark College campus. EAWR's top 8% are (in alphabetical order): Xavier Collman, Jennifer Hallstead, Nicholas Hayes, Zachary Kincade, Ashley Knight, Rebekah Null, Chase Wallendorff, Zachary Wells, and Zachary Womack. Also nominated for Teacher of Year was Chemistry Teacher, Mrs. Sarah Jones. Congrats to our Silver Medallion Award Winners for 2018!

These new procedures will be in effect as of Monday, April 30, 2018.
